Aussie PM Takes Private Jet, Fails to Quarantine While Residents Remain Under Lockdown
Rules just for thee but not for me.
While locked down Australians are being told they ought not to even talk to their neighbours, Prime Minister Scott Morrison reportedly took a private aircraft to visit his family in Sydney and then failed to quarantine upon returning to Canberra.
“ Right after receiving an ‘ important work exemption, Mr Morrison flew over Father’s Day weekend to Sydney within New South Wales on Saturday, before returning on Monday morning to Canberra. Critics say he made the visit to see his family, some thing fellow Australians were avoided from doing, ” reviews the Telegraph .
Both Sydney and Canberra are usually under draconian lockdowns, with individuals only being allowed to depart their homes for ‘ essential’ reasons and people prevented from traveling substantial distances, although those rules don’t appear to apply to Morrison.
Under normal COVID-19 rules, Morrison should have been forced to undergo fourteen days quarantine upon his return to Canberra, but the PM “ did not enter quarantine, rather conducting face-to-face government business. ”
At the same time, Aussies were prevented from seeing their own family members upon Father’s Day.
“ I think Mr Morrison has exercised poor common sense in this case … It’s not that he doesn’t deserve to see his kids, but so really does every other Australian, ” stated opposition MP Bill Reduce.
Australia offers imposed the most brutal lockdown in the developed world, along with citizens being told they ought not to engage in conversations with each other while wearing masks.
As we pointed out yesterday, government bodies in Victoria, Australia have got announced they will “ lock out” unvaccinated people from being able to participate in the economic climate.
New South Wales wellness chief Dr . Kerry Chant also asserted that COVID will be with us “ forever” and people will have to “ obtain used to” taking limitless booster vaccines.
