Integrity Professor Fired after Refusing to Get Vaccine, Wear Cover up
University educator fired for thinking critically and asking questions after 20 years of teaching.
A professor of ethics at a University of Western Ontario College in Canada was forced from her position after the girl refused to take a Covid-19 vaccine or wear the face mask.
In a video message a week ago, Dr . Julie Ponesse explained she was facing expulsion by the university if she didn’t comply with a shot mandate.
“ I’m going to teach you a short lesson on a universally accepted integrity of coercing people in to medical procedures, ” Ponesse stated. “ I’ll be the instance. ”
“ My school employs me personally to be an authority about ethics. I hold a Ph. D. in ethics and ancient philosophy plus I’m here to tell a person, it’s ethically wrong in order to coerce someone to take a shot. If it happens to you, a person do it. If you don’t want a Covid vaccine, don’t take one particular. End of discussion. That it is your own business, ” the girl said.
“ But that’s not the strategy of the University of Traditional western Ontario, which has suddenly necessary that I be vaccinated instantly, or not report for function. ”
“ So , with the school calendar year beginning in a few days, I am facing imminent dismissal after two decades on the job because I will not submit to having an experimental vaccine injected into my body, ” Ponesse says.
According to Ponesse, she has learned from colleagues the vaccines aren’t as secure as they’re made out to end up being.
“ Like a professor, I don’t have to view the news to find out if the Covid vaccines are safe. I examine medical journals and I seek advice from my colleagues who are teachers of science and medicine. I’ve learned from physicians that there are serious questions about how exactly safe these vaccines really are. There are questions about how nicely they work. ”
Ponesse argued that will as an ethics professor really her duty to teach learners to think critically and “ ask questions that might expose a false argument; questions such as: who is the authority offering this order? Should I believe in them with control over my body? ”
In order to more drive home the point, Ponesse presented her “ conundrum” in the form of an ethics test.
This is my first and potentially my last lesson of the year. Ethics tips. In the spirit of Socrates, who was executed for inquiring questions, this lesson will consist of only one question. The answer is multiple choice. Please listen carefully.
When a individual has done the same job to the satisfaction of her company for 20 years, is it right, or is it wrong to suddenly demand that they distribute to an unnecessary medical procedure so that their job? In this case, the procedure is an injection of a element that has not been completely tested for safety. It offers not yet been shown to work. It is designed to prevent an illness that poses little threat to the employee. The worker is not allowed to ask questions. She may only submit to the procedure, or be terminated.
To my first-year students, is this right, or is wrong?
We already know the answer.
Last week was the university’s deadline requiring many students, staff and teachers to submit proof of vaccination.
“ Those who have not provided proof they are fully vaccinated have till October 12 to publish proof of full vaccination and are also required to be tested just for COVID-19 twice per seven-day period in the interim to attend campus, with results posted to the University, ” a campus policy update states.
Regarding employees who refuse to get vaccinated, the university policy declares, “ Employees of the university who don’t comply with the vaccination policy will be susceptible to discipline, which may include the removal of access to campus. ”
An email from your university to Ponesse acquired by the National Post said she could seek a good exemption – which the girl said she would not do – and even then, she would need to continuously test and wear a face mask, “ which she has refused to do. ”
“ I want to be very clear in rejecting it in principle, I actually don’t think we ever must have been in the place where we’re looking at the situation of mandates, therefore I’m not just seeking a good exemption to one, I’m challenging the very foundation of the concept, ” Ponesse told the Post .
Ponesse’s message concludes she was ultimately dismissed by the university.
