Watch: Reporter Asks Psaki, ‘What’s the Deal With Biden’s Coughing? ’
‘What is the situation with that cough and is that the concern? ‘ reporter questioned.
During a press briefing Thursday, a reporter asked Press Secretary Jen Psaki if Joe Biden’s cough should concern the nation.
“ We’ve seen [Biden] on many occasions where he has a repeated coughing, ” stated NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell.
“ What is the situation with this cough and is that a worry? ”

Psaki answered that it was not really a concern because a medical doctor travels with Biden constantly monitoring his health.
“ It’s not a concern. We have a doctor who travels along with him obviously who bank checks in if it is ever called for, and certainly that continues to be the case as it has been because the beginning of his obama administration, ” Psaki replied.
O’Donnell pressed on, asking, “ Is there evidence for why he coughs so frequently in situations like that? I’m sure you noticed it. ”
Psaki downplayed the cough by claiming Biden simply needed to clear his tonsils and that it was not an issue.
“ I did… I don’t think it’s an issue of concern… I think a few range of reasons why we may need to clear our throat or we may have a little gentle cold and that’s certainly something which presidents, elected officials, reporters, spokespeople can confront, yet it’s not an area where we now have a medical concern. ”
Biden’s coughing was noticeable when he or she suffered a coughing suit earlier this week as he was campaigning for Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).
