Tx Announces Election Audit in Four Counties — Democrats Melt Down
Comes after former President Trump asked Gov. Greg Abbott to launch a statewide audit of the 2020 selection.
The particular Texas Secretary of California’s Office announced the state will conduct a forensic review of the 2020 presidential political election in four counties.
The review will focus on Houston, Dallas, Tarrant, and Collin counties — the two largest Democrat and two largest His party counties in the state.
“ Under existing Texas laws and regulations, the Secretary of State has the authority to perform a full and comprehensive forensic audit of any political election and has already begun the procedure in Texas’ two largest Democrat counties and two largest Republican counties— Based in dallas, Harris, Tarrant, and Collin— for the 2020 election. We all anticipate the Legislature will give you funds for this purpose, ” any office said in a statement .
Though Trump won Texas last year by 5. 5 percentage points, the former leader wrote a letter in order to Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Thursday requesting a statewide audit to “ answer big questions” in regards to the 2020 election.

Naturally, Texas Democrats melted lower over the development.
Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo called the audit a “ scam” and a “ dangerous assault” on democracy.
“ This may not deserve to be handled as a serious matter or serious audit, ” Hidalgo said. “ It is an irresponsible political trick. It is a sham. It is a cavalier and dangerous assault on voters and democracy. ”

Likewise, Dallas Region Judge Clay Jenkins arrested Abbott of appeasing his “ puppeteer” Trump.
“ This is a fragile Governor openly and shamelessly taking his orders from a disgraced former President. Governor Abbott is wasting taxpayer funds to trample upon Texans’ freedom to vote, all in order to appease their puppeteer, ” Jenkins told the Texas Tribune .
Failed senate candidate Beto O’Rourke called the election audit a good “ extreme rightward lurch” done at Trump’s bidding.

Biden won Dallas County with 65% of the vote plus Harris County with 56%, according to the official results.
Biden also evidently flipped Tarrant County, successful 49. 3% to Trump’s 49. 1%. Trump earned Collin County with over 51% of the vote.
Texas’ audit statement came a day before the Arizona Senate released the election-changing results of its months-long audit of the 2020 election which usually found thousands of duplicate ballots in addition to thousands of other differences with ballot envelopes, signatures, voter rolls, and more.
