Three Swiss Guards have resigned and three other people have been suspended after refusing to comply with a Vatican mandate that they get the COVID-19 vaccination.
The Swiss Guards, colloquially known as the Pope’s bodyguards, experienced previously been ordered “ to protect their health and those of the others they come into contact with as part of their service” simply by getting the jab.
