“Totally Fabricated”: ACL Fest Followers Call BS After Festival Claims Near 100% Covid Policy Compliance
Celebration claimed it enforced Covid restrictions, however , attendees claim their paperwork was never ever checked.
ACL Fest attendees complained there was little to no basic safety checks at the event over the weekend after the festival claimed these people stringently enforced Covid-19 protocols.
In a tweet Saturday, stats shared by ACL claimed nearly everyone complied with regulations throughout its first weekend and that less than 1 percent of fans were turned away.
Way to go ACL Fest fans!! Yesterday, 14% of you came prepared together with your negative COVID-19 tests, 86% of you showed your own proof of vaccination, and less than 1% of you were flipped away for not having your health documents. Be sure to bring your wellbeing docs and a mask today! pic. twitter. com/KH03ZDYaVo

ACL Fest’s “ Wellness Policy ” advices fans to bring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test in the past 72 hours to achieve entry to the event.

The story on the ground was completely different, however , as many fans whom attended the outdoor songs festival reported their required health paperwork was hardly given more than a glance.
“ These quantities are totally fabricated, ” one attendee wrote, adding, “ The floodgates had been open, and no one was giving any document more than a momentary glance. There is no possibility that this is correct. ”
These types of numbers are totally created. The floodgates were open, and no one was giving any document more than a momentary glance. There is no chance this is correct.

Right? The man barely glanced at my docs… surely didn’t notate anyplace whether or not it was a shot card or test outcomes.

Other ACL Fest concertgoers reported they brought their particular paperwork and that festival workers never bothered to check it whatsoever.
“ Uhhh no one’s documents was checked when I proceeded to go in yesterday, where are usually these statistics coming from? ” responded a Twitter consumer named Emily.
Uhhh no one’s documentation was checked when I went in the other day, where are these data coming from? 😂

Yall are full of sh*t! Lol. They didn’t examine our paperwork AT ALL. They looked at it for 1/2 a second if that and mentioned OK. IT WAS A JOKE!

Was really unhappy when I arrived yesterday to see that y’all weren’t actually checking any of this stuff – hopefully it was better today for those who went.

Was in line for a long time Friday to get within. Didn’t see anyone verify health docs.

Unfortunately nobody examined when I went and that appeared like the norm..

I had my papers ready to display the guy and he simply threw them along side the bag and never checked them. I never saw anyone being checked. Nobody wore masks and nobody was showing paperwork. So glad I was prepared for nothing.

The particular phenomenon was observed and reported by Austin HURUF affiliate KVUE .
Photos also show there were hardly any masks put on by festival attendees, regardless of a mask policy in place requiring them “ in areas of Zilker Park exactly where it is difficult to maintain interpersonal distancing. ”

In the meantime, the city this year inexplicably denied a permit for the coordinators of Softball bat Fest , a yearly Austin street festival that will hosts local vendor booths and bands, and is totally free for the public to attend.
Adler’s push secretary sends an email saying that Mayor Adler wants to drive the narrative that Batfest was cancelled because it might tax the emergency reaction system. Screenshot 2 could be the letter the city sent to Batfest. pic. tweets. com/3T10UJy8up

Just as observed with Lollapalooza in Chi town, virtue-signaling Covid safety rules can be dismissed, or overlooked if an event is producing loads of money for its web host city.
