View: Police Bodycam Footage Displays NBC Producer Caught Stalking Rittenhouse Jurors

“We were simply trying to respectfully to see if it’s possible to find any prospects about the case, ” an NBC producer said.

The particular Kenosha, Wisconsin Police Division has released bodycam video of a traffic stop concerning NBC “ freelancer”   producer James Joseph Morrison after he ran the red light while trying to follow the bus carrying Kyle Rittenhouse  jury members throughout the trial.

Judge Bruce Schroeder made headlines right after banning MSNBC from the court room   for the remainder of the Rittenhouse trial after the Morrison incident.

“ I have instructed nobody from MSNBC news is going to be permitted into this building for the duration of this trail, ” said Assess Schroeder on November eighteen. “ It is a very serious matter and I don’t know what the ultimate truth of it is but absolutely it will go without much thinking that someone who is following a jury bus… That is a very – an incredibly serious matter and will be referred to the proper authorities for further motion. ”

Throughout the interaction with police, each Morrison and New York NBC producer  Irene Byon, who had been called on the phone, were extremely cautious with their text.

“ Were you carrying out a vehicle? ” an officer asked Morrison.

“ I was trying to find —   I was becoming called by New York, heading, maybe these are people you should follow, but I, I actually don’t know. I was trying to… ” Morrison stammered.

“ Trying to do what, ” the officer asked.

Morrison explained that he was simply trying to do what New York told him to do, adding, “ It was discreet. We wasn’t going to talk to anybody or anything, just trying to find a location . That’s all. ”

Next, Morrison provided to call his producer regarding NBC in New York, Irene Byon, to clear things up.

Byon told the particular policeman, “ We were just trying to respectfully trying to see if it’s possible to find any leads about the case. And, so we were just keeping the distance just to see, like, where people involved in the test are positioned. By no means were we trying to get into contact with one of the jury members or whoever’s in the car, we were simply trying to see where crucial players in the trial might be at. ”

When the officer asked Byon if Morrison was informed to follow a specific vehicle, the girl revealed, “ We simply had our people situated in different areas of the courthouse to um, to see if anyone, like, would be able to um… in different areas and so we just experienced people following different… ”

“ We’re going to ask you guys to not do that, ” the officer responded. “ That’s a worry here, this is huge. We can’t afford anything crazy happening, putting people within dangerous positions. This individual broken some traffic laws right here doing this, so we’re going to request you guys to avoid doing that. ”

Focusing on Morrison, the particular officer asked, “ Are you experiencing any ties to this community sir? ”

The NBC producer through Georgia awkwardly answered, “ I love this community… however the Kenosha community itself, no sir. ”

Both Byon and Morrison were extremely apologetic through the course of the interaction.

Morrison will have to go to court for his visitors violation in December.
