Microsoft has pledged to review the handling of sexual nuisance allegations against some of its top executives, including co-founder Bill Gates , and release a report to this particular effect.
The company announced that the review would be conducted by the indie law firm Arent Fox, with the findings expected to be launched this spring.
Microsoft Chief Executive Satya Nadella stressed in a statement upon Friday that the firm’s “ culture remains our most important and the entire board likes the critical importance of a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all Microsoft employees. ”
“ We’re committed not just to looking at the report but listening to advice from the assessment so we can certainly still improve the experiences of our employees. I embrace this extensive review as an opportunity to always get better”, Nadella stated.
According to Microsoft, Arent Fox’s review is going to be followed by Microsoft’s transparency survey, which will summarise the results associated with investigations into Gates as well as other senior officials.
Microsoft executives described the particular report as a document that “ will assess the actions that have been taken to hold employees, including executives, accountable for sex harassment or gender discrimination”.
