Psaki Calls Judge’s Ruling In order to Overturn Nationwide Mask Require ‘Disappointing Decision’

Biden administration more concerned with the ability to control the COVID narrative than about the realities of public health.

Joe Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki called the Florida judge’s ruling striking down the mask mandate for public transportation upon Monday a “ unsatisfactory decision. ”

Yes, really.

Psaki made the particular remarks during a White House press briefing shortly after the Florida federal judge struck down Biden’s nationwide mask mandate for airports, aircraft and other public transportation.

“ This is obviously a disappointing decision. The CDC continues recommending wearing a mask in public transit, ” Psaki said, citing the CDC’s decision to extend its requirement into May 3 before the judge’s ruling.

“ So , we would say to anyone sitting around – we recommend you wear masks on the plane and… as soon as we can offer an update from here, hopefully soon, we’ll provide that to all of you, ” the lady added.

Sibel News reporter Peter Doocy then asked: “ Why is it that we can sit here in the White House briefing room with no masks but people can’t sit in an airplane cabin without masks? ”

Psaki replied dismissively: “ I’m not a doctor. ”

The Association of Flight Attendants, which symbolizes nearly 50, 000 flight attendants at 17 airlines, said in a statement that it’s unclear what the judge’s decision means for travelers over the next “ 24-48 hours” and urged “ calm and consistency” in airports and on planes.

“ In aviation operations, it is impossible to simply flip the switch from one minute to the next. It takes a minimum of 24-48 hrs to implement new methods and communicate this through the entire entire network, ” AFA President Sara Nelson mentioned.

“ Policies and procedures should be updated and thoroughly disseminated to hundreds of thousands of workers, along with millions of travelers. Bulletins and signage, electronic plus physical must be updated. ”

Airline CEOs in March urged the Biden administration to lift the public transport mask mandate , stating “ it makes no sense” at this point given the low COVID deaths and decreasing cases.

“ Now is the time for the Administration to sunset federal transportation travel restrictions – including the international pre-departure testing requirement and the federal mask mandate – which are no longer aligned with the facts of the current epidemiological atmosphere, ”   the corporate executives wrote in the letter.

But the public realities on the ground don’t appear to issue to the Biden administration.

What issues is the ability to control the COVID narrative, which will be all but collapsed when citizens may again begin traveling mask-free.
