A job recruitment ad which has gone viral on Reddit bemoans hiring “ one more Caucasian male” as a “ con. ”
Yes, really.
The image was discussed on the ‘ Recruiting Hell’ subreddit yesterday.
It reads;
IF YOU HAVE TIME, may I ask for you to take a pass at these resumes and LI profiles and provide your feedback?
Here are my initial ideas:
Bryan
– Pros
[Redacted]
– Understands machine learning
– He has maintained vendors
– BULL CRAP in Food Science plus Technology
– Cons
– He claims great attention to detail bus has several grammatical errors plus misspelled “ relevant” in the resume
– He would be an additional Caucasian male on the team (but when he’s the best fit, that is certainly fine… )
Asked how this individual came across the information, the original poster commented, “ My organization is hiring and the hiring director sent myself plus another colleague a demand to review, highlighting some of his thoughts on the candidates in the email. ”
Reddit moderators predictably secured the thread so nobody else could reply to the particular post, thereby downranking this in the algorithm.
Remember to apologize for being white-colored on your next job application, otherwise you may not be considered at all.
So much for ‘ white privilege’!
