Entire body of Missing National Guard Soldier Who Drowned Rescuing Two Illegal Alien Drug Traffickers Recovered

Evans never resurfaced Fri after reportedly jumping to the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, Texas, in efforts to rescue two unlawful aliens, who were later apprehended on transnational narcotics trafficking charges.

“ It is unclear if the military member knew of their supposed criminal activity when this individual jumped to their rescue, ” reports the Daily Mail .

On Monday, Tx Governor Greg Abbott confirmed the soldier’s body have been located after three times of searching.

“ Our Nationwide Guard soldiers risk their own lives every day to assist and protect others and are eternally grateful for that way SPC Evans heroically served his state and country, ” Abbott stated in a statement.

“ I thank the particular members of the Texas Nationwide Guard, the Texas Section of Public Safety, Tx Parks and Wildlife, Edge Patrol, and local police force for working around the clock to locate this soldier. ”

Speaking to the Washington Post , local President for the Border Patrol Partnership in the Del Rio Jon Anfinsen indicated the part of the river Evans attemptedto traverse was deceptive plus fast-moving.

“ Sometimes you see migrants use an inner tube, but in this particular part of the river, people keep hands and walk throughout in a human chain, ” Anfinsen explained.

“ If they step in the hole, that’s it. The river looks calm plus walkable but it’s fast-moving and deceiving. ”

Anfinsen added the location where Evans went lacking is particularly dangerous, saying a minimum of 11 dead illegals have been discovered on the US side of the river in the past month alone, with 12 more found on the Mexican side.

Authorities recovered entire body armor and a walkie talkie belonging to Evans on Friday, two hours into the lookup.

Governor Abbott and others commemorated Evans’ give up over the weekend.

Evans’ demise comes as the Biden management has signaled it will next month lift  the Trump-era Covid restriction on immigration that will allowed for speedy deportations known as  Title 42 , which Border Patrol officials and even Democrat lawmakers have warned could release a flood of illegal aliens that threaten to overwhelm Border Patrol and DHS resources.
