Gates has been quizzed on the Musk pay for.

In an appearance on NBC’s Today show, Bill Entrance was  asked   about online “ misinformation” and what he thought about Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter in relation to that.

The discussion regarding misinformation started with sponsor Savannah Guthrie saying: “ When you look at how the ALL OF US and the world responded to COVID-19, whether it’s masks or vaccines or shutdowns, closures, it might be become so political… Novice so politicized. ”

Gates responded: “ Yeah, it’s unfortunate that individuals didn’t get trusted sounds in both parties talking about the advantage of masks and vaccines in order that it wasn’t a political concern. ”

Guthrie then asked about misinformation, observing that it has “ been a hallmark” of the outbreak.

“ Leader Biden rather famously stated last July that misinformation on social media is killing people. Do you agree? ” she asked.
Gates said: “ Absolutely… They have terrible. ”

The host then mentioned that Elon Musk had moved to acquire Twitter, prior to asking if Gates had been worried that the acquisition might lead to more misinformation getting spread on the platform.

“ Well, you know, misinformation is obviously a big concern that a lot of folks like you are involved about. Elon Musk just recently announced moves to acquire Twitter. I wonder if you are worried about the proliferation of false information given some of his views about expanding what he refers to as free speech upon Twitter and what you think from the acquisition, ” she stated.

The Microsoft founder offered the following response: “ Properly, the digital realm provides facilitated, you know, kind of interesting but wrong ideas spreading very quick. And we need to innovate so that digital realm much more of a positive thing of having the truth out and that people are seeing, hey, this is fake. ”

In an  interview   with The Wall Street Journal, Entrance answered a similar question as to what Elon Musk could perform with Twitter.

“ How does he [MUSK] feel about something which says vaccines kill people or Bill Gates desires to track people? It is not completely clear what he is going to do. ”

“ If he makes Twitter worse, I will talk out about that, ” Gates later said in the same interview.

“ The way you make those platforms spread truth and not crazy stuff; there is some real invention needed there, ” Gates said. “ I actually do not have the solution to that. I really hope lots of brilliant people are thinking about it, but it is a huge problem with regards to legitimacy of the elections or medical innovations. ”
