Hundreds of migrant workers were rescued from an abandoned tractor-trailer on a road in southern Mexico recently, according to authorities.

The particular disturbing incident unfolded from around 2: 00 p. m. on Tuesday in Có rdoba, a city in the state of Veracruz.

Emergency services received multiple calls about people stuck inside a big rig parked near a service station in the Có rdoba-Orizaba highway.

Police found hundreds of migrants packed inside the boiling transport.

“ The Secretary of Community Security (SSP), through the Condition Police, rescued 280 migrants from Nicaragua, El Salvador, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala and Honduras, who were abandoned around the Cordoba-Orizaba highway, of which eighteen are under age, ” the SSP explained within a statement .






Most of the migrants were discovered to be men between the ages of 18 and forty five.

However , some babies and extremely young children were also present in the group.

Three people were hospitalized for severe dehydration.
