Pentagon Clears ‘Top-Secret’ Army Group Responsible For Dropping Thousands Of Pounds Of Bombs On Syrian Civilians

Nobody will be held responsible for what was likely a war crime

The Pentagon upon Thursday released a declassified summary of an investigation to the 2019 bombing of sixty Syrian civilians.

The internal investigation to the March 2019 US  airstrike  in the Syrian city of Deir Ezzor concluded the US commander who authorized the hit was “ not aware” civilians were within the blast radius.

Eventually, the US military ruled the killings were “ not a violation of the military’s guidelines of engagement. ”

A 2021 report by the New York Times detailed the moment “ an American F-15E attack jet” flew over a group of ladies and children and “ decreased a 500-pound bomb within the crowd. ”

Following the first strike, 2 more 2, 000-pound bombs were dropped on the site to remove any possible survivors.

The US military claimed the triple bombing has been “ necessary” in order to beat 16 armed ISIS fighters in the area of the women and children.

Now, after the military investigated the occurrence, the Pentagon stated, “ We’re admitting that, yes, we killed some harmless civilians, women and children, within 2019 in Baghuz, Syria. It’s all out there so that you can see. We’re admitting that we made those mistakes. Which our operations ended up in the killing of innocent people. ”

Immediately after the particular bombings, internal military conversation logs show officials at the US military’s Combined Surroundings Operations Center at ‘s Udeid Air Base in Qatar were concerned about the actual witnessed, writing, “ We all just dropped on 50 women and children. ”

The NYT reported the girls behind the attack was top-secret American strike cell  Talon Anvil, which operated between 2014 and 2019.

Individuals who proved helpful in the secretive cell apparently told the days they often “ circumvented rules imposed to safeguard noncombatants, and alarmed the partners in the military as well as the C. I. A. by killing people who had simply no role in the conflict: farmers trying to harvest, children in the street, families fleeing fighting, and villagers sheltering in buildings. ”

The US military supposedly used the group, which had a loose presentation regarding the rules of wedding, to launch 112, 500 bombs and missiles contrary to the Islamic State.

Responding to the Pentagon’s statement that they “ found simply no wrongdoing” during their investigation, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass. ) criticized the lack of accountability, creating, “ We can’t continue accepting civilian death & harm as a cost of battle. ”
