Trump CONFIRMS he will attend the particular NRA convention in Houston on Friday but participants WON’T be able to bring in their particular guns

Says we ‘need real solutions and real leadership, not really politicians and partisanship’ after the Uvalde massacre

Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he still intends to speak at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Houston later this week – simply two days after a gunman killed at least 19 students and two teachers in a Texas town less than 300 miles away.

He, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the state’s junior GOP Senator Ted Jones came under scrutiny for being scheduled to speak at the pro-gun event on Friday even as more than a dozen families grieve their lost loved ones wiped out at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

‘ America needs true solutions and real leadership in this moment, not political figures and partisanship, ‘ Trump said on his app Reality Social.

‘ That’s why I will keep my longtime commitment to talk in Texas at the NRA Convention and deliver an important address to America. Meanwhile, we all continue to pray for your victims, their families, and for the entire nation – many people are in this together!  

Trump   previously in the morning said the elementary school shooting  is a ‘ moment in time that will never become forgotten’ and extended their ‘ grief and sorrow’ for the victims of the bulk slaughter.

The particular shooter was reportedly wiped out by law enforcement.

‘ So hard to think or even report about anything else right after watching the Texas college “ massacre” which took place yesterday, ‘ Trump published on his app Truth Interpersonal.

‘ Appreciate it to the great wisdom and bravery of our Law Enforcement Specialists, and condolences to all who are suffering so gravely with all the loss of those incredible souls so close to you. ‘

He concluded, ‘ No words can exhibit the sorrow and grief of this absolutely horrible event. It is a moment in time which will never ever be forgotten! ‘
