In response to the particular chants of “ make a move, ” Biden responded with “ We will”, most probably referring to gun control steps proposed by several Liberal lawmakers last week.

During his visit, Biden met with the school’s primary Mandy Gutierrez, and tasked his wife Jill Biden to lay the bouquets on the memorial as he doddered alongside her.

Local reporter Stella Chavez told CNN that Biden’s visit received mixed responses from the residents, with many worried that his appearance might further politicize the capturing that left 19 children and 2 teachers deceased.
“ I think it depends on who a person ask, ” Chavez said. “ I think, for the most part, the particular families who were affected want to focus on their loved ones who were killed. And I think having the leader in our country come here and express, you know, his condolences is important to them. But I also know, I’ve heard individuals say, you know, now is not really the time for him ahead here. ”

“ I think some individuals are concerned about politicizing this event. And I’ve heard lots of outrage from people, ” she continued. “ But I’ve also heard from folks who say, ‘ We don’t want to focus on that, on what could have happened, what should’ve happened, I just wish to focus on the kids. ‘ Therefore i would just say this will depend on who you inquire. But I do think it’s substantial that he’s coming right here and especially so soon after one more similar trip to Buffalo in which a horrible mass shooting also happened. ”
