Beto Doubles Down: Will Take AR-15s From Texans If Selected

Texas Democrat gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke again told Texans he’ll try to confiscate semi-automatic rifles through citizens if elected.
A notorious flip-flopper, Beto infamously said in 2019, “ Hell yes, we’ll take your AR-15, ” before changing his tone within 2022, claiming, “ I am not interested in taking anything at all from anyone. ”
Last week , the Beto campaign website was quietly modified to say he no longer supports civilian ownership of so-called assault rifles.
During recent advertising campaign events within extremely conservative areas of Texas, Beto told voters, “ I just took the position that could not be politically popular one be able to purchase an AR-15 or an AK-47, mainly because they’re designed to kill human beings and that high-impact, high-velocity circular will just tear up everything inside you. ”
Going even further, Beto added, “ I don’t think how the people who have them right now within civilian use should be able to place them. ”
When pressed by CNN about how he’d implement a gun confiscation program in Texas, Beto became flustered plus failed to come up with a clear strategy.
The Texas Democrat has been slammed for using the heartbreaking Uvalde shooting to promote his gubernatorial campaign when he confronted Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott during a press conference about the massacre a week ago.
