Twitter users reacted with a combination of head-shaking and ridicule following the official US Marines account tweeted an image of LGBT flag colored bullets, which includes pointing out that they got literally fulfilled a satirical meme.
In a tweet to indicate the start of Gay Pride 30 days, the US Marines account tweeted, “ Throughout June, the particular USMC takes #Pride in recognizing and honoring the contributions of our LGBTQ provider members. We remain committed to fostering an environment free from splendour, and defend the values of treating all equally, with dignity and regard.. ”
The accompanying the tweet featured 6 bullets in LGBT rainbow colors secured in a military helmet with the words “ ready to serve created on it. ”

Although meant to resemble bullets, the rainbow colors made them look more like lipstick.
Twitter users had a field day in the replies, with many pointing out that this Marines had literally satisfied the satirical ‘ gay bombs’ meme which poked fun at the military-industrial complex appropriating gay pride to legitimize attacking other nations.
