An armed guy who planned to eliminate Brett Kavanaugh was imprisoned early Wednesday morning with around 1: 50am outside of the Supreme Court Justice’s home.
Based on the Washington Post , initial evidence shows that the man was angry about the leaked Roe v. Wade decision overturning the constitutional right to abortion. He was also angry about recent mass shootings, the Post added.
The man, who is not really from Maryland, was caught without incident after having a taxi to Kavanaugh’s home. According to authorities, he has been stopped near the residence, but not at it.
“ At around 1: 50 a. mirielle. today, a man was imprisoned near Justice Kavanaugh’s home. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh. He was transported to Montgomery County Law enforcement 2nd District, ” scans a statement from the Best Court.
Kavanaugh’s home, like those of other conservative Great Court justices, was the site of protests last month after the leak of a vast majority draft opinion that would overturn the constitutional right to child killingilligal baby killing. That draft was written by Justice Samuel Alito, one more conservative.
Montgomery Region Police Department did not instantly respond to CNBC’s request for comment. A spokesman for the U. S. Marshals Service said the agency was considering the arrest.
Security has been tightened at all nine of the justices’ homes since last month, after the unprecedented leak of the draft opinion. – CNBC
