The particular bodies of two migrant workers were found on a Tx highway following a possible individual smuggling attempt gone wrong earlier this month, specialists say.

On 06 12, a motorist alerted police about bodies lying on an Interstate 10 on-ramp near Van Horn within West Texas.

Responding authorities found a deceased man and woman at the scene and an investigation was launched simply by U. S. Border Patrol and the Culberson County Sheriff’s Office.

Fingerprint checks revealed the individuals to be Edgar Vividor-Rodriguez, a citizen of Mexico, and Rosenda Gomez-Lopez, a citizen of Guatemala.

Both were determined to have entered the United States illegally.

Specialists believe “ the individuals may have passed away from temperature exposure or dehydration plus were subsequently pushed from the vehicle” during a smuggling try, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) explained in a press release .

Autopsy answers are still pending, according to the most up to date available updates.

“ Human smugglers are heinous people who profit from smuggling undocumented migrants without prejudice and with a clear disregard of whether the people on whom they victim end up paying the final cost, ” Frank B. Burrola, special agent in charge of HSI El Paso, said inside a statement.
