A Democrat candidate in North Carolina complained in order to two supermarkets on Tweets over a couple of pro-gun koozies she found at their stores, asking for them to be removed from shelves.
Christy Clark, a Democrat candidate for NC Home District 98 who likes “ she/her” pronouns, on Monday directed a social networking post toward Harris Teeter and Kroger supermarkets demanding they remove the insensitive products.
. @HarrisTeeter @kroger I am disappointed these coozies are being sold in an NORTH CAROLINA store. 110 Americans expire every day from gun violence and most recently children, educators, health care providers, and members of the family were killed in mass shootings. Please remove them. #ncpol @NCGV picture. twitter. com/7RTkF1SOot

“. @HarrisTeeter @kroger I am disappointed these coozies are now being sold in an NC store. 110 Americans die every day from gun violence and most recently children, educators, healthcare providers, and family members had been killed in mass shootings. Please remove them, ” Clark simon tweeted.
One of the offending beverage insulators showcased a bald eagle clasping the shotgun emblazoned with the words and phrases, “ Give me liberty or give me death. ” The other koozie featured Founding Dad Thomas Jefferson holding an AR-15 and a copy of the Second Amendment, and stated, “ Arms change, rights don’t. ”
Remarkably, and seemingly without having hesitation, both stores replied they would take steps to remove the items.
Thanks for reaching out, Christy. As soon as these items were brought to our attention we put the recall request into location and these items are being taken out of all store locations. We appreciate your concern.

One user on social media marketing responded to the ridiculousness by replying, “ Ban strike coozies! ”

The Daily Caller’s Brian Hookstead reported he phoned the two companies “ to ask what [they] found offensive about the Bill associated with Rights and freedom, ” but unfortunately did not get a response.
The Wa Times noted “ Kroger Co. finished an acquisition of Harris Teeter Supermarkets in early 2014, yet Harris Teeter stores still operate under their brand name. ”
Clark simon faces off against Republican incumbent John Bradford 3 on November 8, 2022.
