Ca Attorney General Leaks Massive Trove of Gun Owners’ Private Information

“Vindictive sore loser bureaucrats have endangered people’s lifestyles and invited conflict simply by illegally releasing confidential personal information, ” says gun rights group.

The Ca Attorney General’s office leaked out a new dashboard of gun owners’ personal information, including full names of addresses, based on reports.

The particular state’s Department of Justice went live with its  2022 Firearms Dashboard Website   on Mon, which included publicly-accessible files along with identifying information for individuals along with concealed carry permits.

The Reload   reviewed a duplicate of the Lost Angeles Region database and found 244 judge permits listed in the particular database. The files included the home addresses, full names, and dates of delivery for all of them. The same had been true for seven custodial officers, 63 people with a spot of employment permit, plus 420 reserve officers.

2, 891 individuals in Los Angeles County along with standard licenses also experienced their information compromised by leak, though the database appears to include some duplicate articles as well.

A reviewed by  The Reload   displays the databases with detailed information were initially readily available for download via a button within the website’s mapping feature. They will appeared to have been removed from open public access by Tuesday afternoon and replaced with spreadsheets without the individualized identifying info.

California Gun & Pistol Association (CRPA) President Chuck Michel blasted the California AG’s official for endangering the life of gun owners simply by doxxing their personal information in a state that’s openly aggressive to the Second Amendment.

“ Vindictive aching loser bureaucrats have endangered people’s lives and invited conflict by illegally launching confidential private information, ” Michel told  The Refill . “ CRPA will be working with several legislators and sheriffs to determine the extent from the damage caused by DOJ’s doxing of law abiding weapon owners. Litigation is likely. ”

Attorney Common Rob Bonta had claimed the move would improve “ transparency” and put “ power and information into the hands of our communities. ”

“ Visibility is key to increasing open public trust between law enforcement and the communities we serve, ”   said Bonta in a statement. “ As news of tragic mass shootings continue to dominate the news period, leaving many with emotions of fear and uncertainness,   we must do every thing we can to prevent gun violence. ”

“ One of my continued focal points is to better provide details needed to help advance efforts that strengthen California’s commonsense gun laws. Today’s announcement puts power and info into the hands of our towns by helping them better  understand  the role and potential dangers of  firearms  within our state. ”

Given the anti-gun climate in blue states like California, the leak will only put gun proprietors at greater risk associated with political retaliation, as The Reload reported that burglaries against gun owners took place 145, 377 times within 2020 alone.
