Uvalde school police chief will be captured on newly released bodycam footage repeatedly trying to make a deal with teen gunman
Even while he continues to fire along with children still inside the class room with him
Body camera footage taken the moment the Uvalde college police chief repeatedly begged an 18-year-old gunman to place down his weapon right after he opened fire within a classroom.
Robb Elementary School Police Chief Peter Arredondo was written standing outside the classroom endeavoring to negotiate with Salvador Ramos – rather than engage with the particular mass shooter, who eventually never responded to his pleas.
Arredondo urged the teen to talk to him, endeavoring to assure him that ‘ this could be peaceful’ and wondering him to ‘ make sure you put your firearm down’.
Despite his efforts, another round associated with gunshots was heard through the classroom.

‘ Can you hear me sir? ‘ Arredondo asked following the shots. ‘ Sir, if you can hear me personally, please put your gun down, sir. We no longer want anybody else hurt. ‘
Furious parents and community associates have called for Arredondo’s termination since the May 24 massacre that left 21 deceased.
This individual was placed on administrative leave last month.
Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin disclosed previously that another on-site negotiator had tried calling Ramos but the gunman in no way answered the phone.
Meanwhile, the Texas Home investigative committee released a preliminary report Sunday revealing officials found ‘ multiple systemic failures’ and poor leadership by law enforcement the day of the shooting.
