Secret Service now says will not have ANY texts distributed between agents from The month of january 6

Nationwide Archives calls for an investigation in to whether they were deleted with no authorization

Secret Provider agents deleted texts sent during the insurrection at the ALL OF US Capitol, despite  requests from Congress and federal investigators that they be preserved.

Many Key Service text messages sent round the time of the riot had been ‘ erased as part of a device-replacement program, ‘ the agency confirmed Tuesday in the letter sent in  response to a subpoena from the House Jan. 6 committee.

Secret Service  mobile phones were migrated to a brand new system in the weeks after the 2021 attack.   The agency left it up in order to individual agents to decide exactly what electronic records to keep and what to delete during the process.

The particular deletion of the messages offers raised the prospect of lost evidence that could shed additional light on then-President Donald Trump’s actions during the insurrection, particularly after testimony about his confrontation with security as he tried to join followers at the Capitol.  

The agency promises ‘ the insinuation the fact that Secret Service maliciously erased text messages following a request is definitely false. ‘ 

The National Archives on Tuesday requested more information regarding the ‘ potential unauthorized deletion’ of texts and has given the agency 30 days to reveal which records had been purged and the circumstances under which they were lost.
