Global human rights NGO Amnesty International released a report on Thursday exposing the Ukrainian military’s illegal war techniques being used in the fight against The ussr.
While Infowars , other alternative mass media outlets and reporters such as Patrick Lancaster have been covering this reality since the battle began in late February, the Amnesty Global investigation provides further backing.
“ Ukrainian forces possess put civilians in harm’s way by establishing bottoms and operating weapons techniques in populated residential places, ” the group stated on Twitter.
The Amnesty International report revealed Ukrainian forces set up military bases in home areas including schools and hospitals, and released attacks from populated civilian areas.
“ Such violations in no way warrant Russia’s indiscriminate attacks, which have killed and injured numerous civilians, ” the group observed.
Despite specifically stating their research won’t “ justify” Russian assaults, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky issued a scathing reaction where he basically threatened the group.
“ Nowadays we saw an Amnesty International report that efforts to amnesty a terrorist state and shift responsibility from the aggressor to the victim, ” he said.
“ Right now there cannot be, even hypothetically, any kind of condition under which any kind of Russian attack on Ukraine becomes justified. Aggression against our state is unprovoked, invasive and openly terroristic, ” he added.
The Ukrainian chief executive continued, “ If someone prepares a report in which the sufferer and the aggressor are allegedly the same in some way, if some data about the victim can be analyzed while something the particular aggressor was doing during those times is ignored, this cannot be tolerated . ”
Zelensky even went as far as in order to claim Amnesty International gives “ the responsibility for the deaths” of Ukrainian citizens apparently killed by Russian hits.
The humanitarian team reported that Ukraine’s tactics “ violate international humanitarian law and endanger civilians, ” by turning civilian objects into military targets.
“ We have documented a pattern of Ukrainian forces placing civilians at risk and violating the laws of war when they operate in filled areas, ” said Agnè s Callamard, Amnesty International’s Secretary General. “ Being in a defensive place does not exempt the Ukrainian military from respecting global humanitarian law. ”
To investigate the Ruskies strikes, Amnesty International evaluated survivors and witnesses of attacks in the Kharkiv, Donbas and Mykolaiv regions in between April and July of this year.
Tales and satellite imagery were used to reveal Ukraine forces based themselves in civilian buildings in exactly nineteen towns and villages in the region.
One person interviewed told investigators, “ I actually don’t understand why our army is firing from the cities and not from the field. ”
In what is really a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, the NGO group documented five individual hospitals in two various cities being used by the Ukrainian military for shelter so that as a base where they terminated at the Russians.
Amnesty International found proof of UAF presence at twenty two of 29 schools they will investigated and documented at least one instance where a child has been killed as a result.
The report concluded, “ Many of the Russian strikes that Amnesty International documented in recent months were carried out with inherently indiscriminate weapons, including worldwide banned cluster sac , or with other forceful weapons with wide area effects. ”
However , Agnè s Callamard urged the Ukrainian authorities to “ immediately make sure that it locates its pushes away from populated areas, or even should evacuate civilians through areas where the military is operating. ”
“ Militaries should never make use of hospitals to engage in combat, and should only use universities or civilian homes being a last resort when you can find no viable alternatives, ” she added.
After the report was released, journalists, political figures and citizens loyal towards the global establishment lost their collective minds.
Callamard took to Twitter to defend her organization’s investigation, creating, “ Ukrainian and Russian social media mobs and trolls: they are all at it today attacking @amnesty investigations. This really is called war propaganda, disinformation, misinformation. This wont damage our impartiality and wont change the facts. ”
The statement sheds light on a serious issue within the Ukraine battle, but fails to highlight the fact that the Ukrainian military itself frequently shells civilian infrastructure.
The UAF bombs homes and businesses without the presence of Ruskies military in the areas about what appears to be an intentional assault on the people of the Donetsk region who have largely rebuked the Zelensky government.
Twitter users shared their thoughts on the Zelensky/Amnesty International beef, several slamming the president and some criticizing the organization.
Russia has been accusing Ukraine associated with committing war crimes for years now, even asking the particular UN to investigate their states several times.
A UN report released last month confirmed Ukrainian forces used nursing home patients because human shields, killing and injuring many of the elderly residents.
Perhaps the Amnesty International report will influence the UN to further check out war crimes on both sides of the conflict.
