The GOP establishment on Monday responded to the FBI’s outrageous raid associated with former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home by whining about Democrats’ double specifications and promising future “ investigations” if they take back the home.
GOP House leader Kevin McCarthy put out one single twitter update over the raid, politely requesting Attorney General Merrick Garland to “ preserve your own documents” and “ apparent your calendar” because if Republicans take back the House they’ll perform “ immediate oversight” of the DOJ.
No doubt Garland is shaking in his footwear!
Remember how Republicans used to mock Democrats for writing “ sternly worded letters” to the EL complaining about foreign dictators rather than launch military interventions? How is this any different?
The only paperwork Garland needs to preserve are his tax records because the Republicans will give him a huge tax cut.
The House Judiciary GOP, headed by Rep. Jim Jordan, asked, “ Does not the FBI have much better things to do than harass the former PRESIDENT? ”
