Media Suggests Alex Jones’ Text Messages Led to Trump Raid

Jones’ texts attained unlawfully by prosecutors throughout Sandy Hook show demo.

Wild conspiracy theories claim Infowars founder Alex Jones’ text messages, recently turned to the Jan. 6 panel, could be the reason behind Monday’s raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort.

Following the unprecedented FBI raid on the former president’s home, many correlated its time with the fact Jones’ texts – which were unlawfully obtained by prosecutors during the Sandy Hook trial last week – were recently delivered to the Jan. 6 House Select Committee.

CNN host Erin Burnett, without having proof, was among the first in the media to float the possibility Jones’ texts may have resulted in the raid.

“[The raid] comes on the same day that January. 6 Select Committee has become in possession of new sms, messages that we understand belong to conspiracy theorist and Trump supporter Alex Jones, ” Burnett breathlessly reported Monday.

The Britian’s Daily Mail also leaped an article linking the two events, with a trademark novel-length heading stating, “ FBI Raided Mar-a-Lago TODAY – simply hours after Infowars sponsor Alex Jones handed 2 yrs of texts to January 6 committee: Trump confirms ‘ my home was under siege by big group of agents who also broke into my safe. ”

Left-leaning social media customers were also keen to jump on the conspiracy concept if it meant the downfall of two key politics foes:

Some even went as far as to fabricate fake texts between Jones and Trump:

CNN’s Oliver Darcy upon Monday claimed Jones’ text messages had been handed over to the House Select Committee by Exotic Hook attorney Mark Bankston, although he added, “ It is unclear if the Proper rights Department had received the texts as of Monday mid-day. The Justice Department declined to comment. ”

Darcy later claimed on CNN New Day that Jones’ texts merely reveal he was talking with people “ in Trump’s orbit. ”

On Monday, Bankston informed The Young Turks his team had found “ a naked photo associated with Jones’s wife sent to [Roger] Stone, once an adviser to former president Donald Trump, ” the Guardian reports . Bankston following spun allegations that Jones had shared the picture without his wife’s consent.

On Wednesday, Jones pre-empted that type of thinking by showing among the texts in question on-air during a live broadcast of the Alex Jones Display , effectively throwing frosty water on Bankston’s absurd allegations.

While the timing of Jones’ text dump and the raid upon Mar-A-Lago do correlate, the particular FBI’s justification for the raid is supposedly related to categorized documents Trump may have improperly taken with him through the White House.

To be clear, there’s no incriminating evidence on Jones’ mobile phone or elsewhere that would necessitate a SWAT team raid on the president’s home.
