“They Could Have Had Whatever These people Wanted”: Trump Responds After Garland Statement on F Raid

Justice Dept. performed raid despite Trump team’s full cooperation during previous interactions, former president says.

Donald Trump would gladly have switched over additional documents during previous interactions with the Justice Department prior to Monday’s raid on Mar-a-Lago, the former chief executive wrote on social media.

On Thursday night, Attorney General Merrick Garland claimed the FBI got sought “ less-intrusive indicates as an alternative to a search” just before Monday’s pre-dawn raid, however President Trump shot back again that he’d already handed over requested docs and mentioned he’d been nothing but cooperative.

“ My attorneys and representatives had been cooperating fully, and very good relationships had been established, ” Trump responded .

“ The government could have had whatever they wanted, if we experienced it. They asked all of us to put an additional lock on the certain area – ACCOMPLISHED! ”

He ongoing: “ Everything was good, better than that of most previous Presidents, and then, out of nowhere and with no warning, Mar-a-Lago has been raided, at 6: 30 in the morning, by VERY large amounts of agents, and even ‘ safecrackers. ‘ They got way ahead of themselves. Crazy! ”

During comments Thursday, Garland admitted he or she “ personally approved” the FBI raid, and said a “ search bring about was authorized by a federal government court upon the required locating of probable cause. ”

Trump on Wednesday noted he’d supplied the requested documents during a previous interaction with Proper rights officials back in June, and had even complied with a ask for to install an additional lock on a door.

“ In early June, the DOJ and FBI asked the legal representatives to put an additional lock on the door resulting in the place where boxes were stored in Mar-a-Lago – We decided. They were shown the secured area, and the boxes themselves, ” the president detailed on Truth Social.

“ Then on Monday, ” he continued, “ without notification or caution, an army of agents pennyless into Mar-a-Lago, went to exactly the same storage area, and ripped open up the lock that they got asked to be installed. A surprise attack, POLITICS, and all the particular while our Country will HELL! ”

Trump attorney Lindsey Halligan also confirmed files were previously handed over, plus agreed they would have complied with any additional Justice department requests had they just asked.

“ If they needed any other paperwork, they could have just questioned, ” Halligan told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wed night.

Unlike Garland’s comment that the “ president’s counsel… was on-site during the search, ” Halligan said when she attained Mar-a-Lago she was ignored by agents and had not been allowed to observe the raid.

“ They refused to let me in. All of the I knew is that they had been searching areas one, 2, and three, which I understood to be the former president’s bedroom, their office, and a storage space. And other than that, i was not allowed to talk to them or go inside at all, ” she told Hannity.

President Trump on Wednesday also questioned why Democrat President Barack Obama didn’t receive the same treatment when he “ invoked the Presidential Records Action to ‘ delay the release of thousands of pages of records from President Bill Clinton’s White House. ‘”

More on the matter from the Nyc Post :

“ Obama White House lawyers repeatedly invoked the Presidential Information Act to ‘ delay the release of thousands  of pages of records from President Bill Clinton’s Whitened House, ‘  Politico reported . At the end of his presidency, Barack Obama trucked 30 million pages of his administration’s records to Chicago, promising to digitize them and eventually put them on-line — a move that  outraged historians . ”

Trump later asked whether Obama’s home within Martha’s Vineyard would likewise be raided.

He or she also criticized the White House’s states that it had no prior knowledge from the unprecedented raid.

At the least, Garland has called for the search warrant to be unsealed, which should reveal exactly what the particular FBI was after.

It won’t, however , explain whether the federal judge who agreed upon off on the warrant was made conscious of the Trump team’s previous cooperation, or reveal why the raid was executed without Trump being 1st allowed to comply.
