CNN will be down one potato following the network canceled host John Stelter’s Sunday media matters show, Reliable Sources, causing tens of fans crestfallen.
In a declaration to NPR , Stelter stated he’s grateful to the system, and the staff who worked with him covering “ the media, truth and the stories that shape our world. ”
“ It was a rare privilege in order to lead a weekly display focused on the press at the same time when it has never been more resulting, ” said Stelter, who will elaborate on Sunday’s show – its final episode.
Stelter got his start blogging about wire news as a student and went on to become a media media reporter for The New York Times. Reliable Sources is the longest-running display on CNN; Stelter provides hosted it for the past nine years and celebrated the 30th anniversary in Mar.
CNN chief Philip Licht informed Stelter from the decision yesterday. Licht has been making slashes throughout the network since taking helm as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s takeover of the previous Time Warner company. Stelter, who usually touted the show’s ratings on Twitter, was the CNN hosts targeted with regard to frequent criticism from conservatives for his coverage of the media in the Trump yr s. -NPR
Stelter’s departure comes just over a week after he announced the Hunter Biden corruption scandal “ not just a right-wing media story. ”
The potato-esque host’s tenure comes to an end after major WarnerDiscovery stakeholder David Malone publicly criticized CNN for achieveing become too politicized.
