Liz Cheney: ‘Election Deniers’ DeSantis, Cruz, Hawley Unfit meant for Presidency

Neocon who lost by 40 points in her Wyoming primary thinks the lady knows who’s fit to hold office.

Ousted Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo. ) claimed that Republicans like Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and  Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Gov. Ron Desantis (R-FL) are unfit for that presidency because they questioned the results of the 2020 presidential political election.

ABC’s “ This Week” host Jonathon Karl on Sunday asked Cheney, “ Will be the threat Trump or larger than Trump? You could argue Trumpism, in terms of election denying, has brought over the party. ”

“ Donald Trump is certainly the center of the risk, but election denial, question the fundamental function and process, at the center of our constitutional republic is dangerous, generally, ” Cheney replied.

“ Your dog is certainly leading that energy and leading that movement, ” she continued. “ He also, because we all know precisely what he will do mainly because he’s done it, sending an armed mob here to the Capitol to try to overturn the results of an election. There is certainly simply no way the nation can, in my view, sustain alone if we excuse that and place him in a position of power again. ”

Karl then honed within on “ election deniers” DeSantis, Cruz and Hawley, asking if Cheney would support them in upcoming elections.

“ It would be very difficult, ” Cheney said. “ When you take a look at somebody like Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz, both of whom know much better, both of whom no exactly the role of Congress is in terms of our constitutional obligations with respect to presidential polls, and yet both of whom took steps that, that fundamentally threatened the constitutional order and structure in the aftermath of the last selection. So , you know, in my view, they both have made by themselves unfit for future office. ”

“ DeSantis, who is right now promotioning for election deniers, and i believe that’s something that I think people have to have real pause about. Either you fundamentally rely on and support our constitutional structure, or you don’t, ” she added.

Cheney lost her primary election by a stunning 40 points last week, representing an overwhelming rebuke of her effort to impeach Trump plus demonize him with the January 6 Committee hearings.

It’s also worth observing Cheney has nothing to express about the numerous Democrats and media figures who declined to accept the results of the 2016 election for years despite simply no evidence of widespread voter scams, just a Clinton-contrived narrative of “ Russian collusion. ”

Despite Cheney’s devastating major blowout and indisputable unpopularity, the neocon still hasn’t gotten the message and it is reportedly evaluating a presidential run within 2024 .
