Florida flipped multiple major school planks from liberal to traditional Tuesday evening, continuing a nationwide trend of mother and father taking back control of community schools.
Florida school board elections have been a major political arena this cycle, with big names like Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Representative. Byron Donalds (R) making endorsements and joining the campaign trail.
While primary elections occurred in Florida, New York, plus Oklahoma Tuesday, Florida has general elections for school boards, meaning the those who win will be the official members from the boards.
Many of the winning candidates have been endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC, an organization that has been instrumental within flipping school boards through liberal to conservative across the nation.
“ We saw enormous election victories all throughout the state of Florida tonight, ” 1776 Project PAC founder Ryan Girdusky informed Breitbart News Tuesday. “ It shows the wish of parents and residents across the country for some normalcy within our education system, and that means pushing against transgender ideology, critical race theory, essential gender ideology, and collateral which destroys merit in education. ”
“ The 1776 Task PAC hopes to take these types of successes across the country, ” he or she said.
The Sarasota Region School Board flipped from the 3-2 leftist majority to some 4-1 conservative majority.
All three conservative candidates — Bridget Ziegler, Robyn Marinelli, and Timothy Enos — won their own elections to flip the board.
Every was endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC and Gov. DeSantis.
