Pfizer Bars Whites From Applying For Prestigious Fellowship

Simply no white people need make an application for Pfizer’s new “ Discovery Fellowship” program.

The particular pharmaceutical giant Pfizer provides a prestigious fellowship that bars whites and Asians from applying. Trumpeted on the industry’s website as a “ Striking Move” to “ make a workplace for all, ” civil rights lawyers are characterizing it in a different way: as a blatant violation of the law.

“ This Pfizer program is so flagrantly illegal I seriously wonder how it passed internal evaluation by its general advice, ” said Adam Mortara, one of the country’s top city rights attorneys.

Pfizer’s “ Breakthrough Fellowship” offers college students multiple internships, a fully funded master’s degree, and several years of employment at the pharmaceutical giant. It also limits applications to “ Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic and Indigenous American” students, the  fellowship requirements state.

In a  Frequently Asked Questions sales brochure   about the nine-year program, Pfizer asserts that it can be an “ equal possibility employer. ”

[…] The particular Breakthrough Fellowship is part of a larger push within Pfizer to “ embed DEI into our DNA, ” per the company’s 2021 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla in 2020 produced “ equity” one of the industry’s four “ core values” alongside excellence, courage, and joy. “ We no longer just talk about the importance of equity, ” Bourla said at that time. “ We put our words into action. ”

An  Smart   survey launched last year found that  34% of white learners lied about being “ minorities” in their college applications in order to boost their likelihood of getting accepted into college . The survey found that 77% of whites who falsely claimed minority status were accepted straight into college.

College admissions scam mastermind Ron Singer allegedly  told his wealthy white clients to claim to be minorities lest they be at a “ competitive disadvantage. ”

In case white privilege were true, it would be minority groups lying and claiming they were whitened in order to get access to all their brand new white privilege, not the contrary way around!
