Clinton’s comments seem to confirm that the Democrats are poised to portray the supposed Republic proclivity for fascism as a central problem in the 2022 midterm elections.

Previous Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton recently elevated eyebrows again by saying the Republican Party is definitely showing “ too many characteristics” of “ authoritarianism. ”

“ The problem is, if you go through the hallmarks of authoritarian regimes, you see too many characteristics unfortunately on our Conservative side, ”   Clinton told the serves of ABC’s “ The particular View”   upon Wednesday.

“ My many fervent hope is that Conservatives themselves will begin to reject all that verbally, vocally, in their voting, and kind of reconstitute the particular Republican Party to where this used to be and not the party of [former US President Donald] Trump, which I think is very dangerous to the country, ” she said.

The comments came just days after US President May well Biden formally shut down the so-called ‘ Disinformation Governance Board, ‘ whose development sparked both widespread alarm and mockery, and coincided with Biden’s push in order to label Trump supporters “ semi-fascists” and a threat to national security.

But that is a charge Clinton has accessed at the Republican Party for a while now.

Calling members of the GOP “ domestic enemies… who [don’t] believe in the democracy, ” the former first lady secretary of state  claimed last year that her His party opponents were effectively pawns of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“ Sadly, ” she said, “ what we’ve noticed over the last 4 years, and particularly since our election in 2020, is that we now have people within our own nation who are doing Putin’s work … to sow doubt, to sow divisiveness, to provide aid and comfort to the people in our country who, for reasons uknown, are being not only disruptive but very dangerous. ”

And in 2018, Clinton tagged the Trump administration an “ authoritarian regime” and  called the 2016 political election   “ a case study in the weaponization associated with false information and downright lies against our democracy” – and one which, the girl claimed, marked “ the beginning of the end of freedom. ”
