Pro-immigration activist Max Lefeld, a founding member of the Casa Venezuela Dallas foundation that helps Venezuelan migrants move to the US, told NBC News that Governor Ron DeSantis sending Venezuelan migrants to Martha’s Vineyard is similar to him dumping “ trash” all around town.
“ Florida Gov. DeSantis sending asylum-seekers to Martha’s Vineyard is much like ‘ me taking the trash out and just traveling to different areas where I live and just throwing my trash there, ‘ a founding member of a foundation which usually helps refugees says, ” NBC News reported Fri, quoting Lefeld.
NBC News removed the tweet after obtaining backlash for comparing migrant workers to “ trash” yet Lefeld’s quote is still upward in their write-up .

Lefeld’s basis is dedicated to resettling Venezuelan “ migrants” and “ refugees” — who he apparently views as “ trash” — into the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.
He says on his foundation’s website that their mission is “ to promote and mentor recently arrived distressed and displaced Venezuelan diaspora to successfully integrate into the DFW community. ”
Lefeld’s basis is asking for donations to help relocate the “ greater than 5. 9 million people” who have had to flee Venezuela due to “ a combination of assault, insecurity and a lack of food, medicine and other services. ”
