Biden Press Sec: ‘High Turnout and Voter Suppression May take Place at the Same Time’

A lot of suppressed voters showing up within Georgia’s early midterm voting

Joe Biden’s press admin Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that will “ high voter turnout” and “ voter suppression” can occur simultaneously.

Jean-Pierre was quarrelling that “ access to voting is being attacked” in Georgia due to Republicans passing election integrity legislation before the reporter pointed out the state’s “ record turnout” within the election so far.

“ Doesn’t record turnout show that Georgia voters are finding ways to vote, despite having the restrictions? ” the reporter asked Tuesday.

Jean-Pierre replied, without having elaborating, “ Generally speaking, again, more broadly speaking of course , higher turnout and voter reductions can take place at the same time. ”

Democrats have insisted that Georgia’s Election Condition Act   suppresses the black vote. Biden has even called the laws “ Jim Crow second . 0. ”

Georgia’s Secretary of Condition lauded the record quantities on Tuesday as the threshold crossed 1 million ballots.

Yet how could voter suppression be taking place if Georgia is experiencing record-breaking voter turnout that’s up 70% from 2018 and on par with the 2020 presidential selection?

Perhaps it’s because the bill doesn’t reduce votes at all, but in fact helps secure election integrity, which would help explain the particular record turnout.

“ Among the Election Condition Act’s changes were stopping government agencies from emailing applications  unsolicited, requiring the usage of driver’s licenses or another form of photo ID rather than signature-matching to verify identity in absentee ballot applications, and codifying ballot fall boxes into law. This mandated precincts hold a minimum of 17 days of early voting and left in place no-excuse absentee voting, while shortening the window to apply for ballots to 67 days, ” Fox News reported .

Polls show tight races between Republican Gov. John Kemp (R) and Democrat Stacey Abrams, as well as Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) plus GOP challenger Herschel Master.
