Finnish Gov’t Report: World Doesn’t Have Enough Lithium & Cobalt to Replace All Batteries Every 10 Years

All of these problems occur in locating a mass of lithium for ion batteries weighting 286. 6 million tonnes. But the “ power buffer” of another 2 . 5 billion dollars tonnes of batteries is also required to provide a four-week backing up for intermittent wind plus solar electricity power.

Of course , this really is simply not available from worldwide mineral reserves, but , states Michaux, it is not clear the way the buffer could be delivered with the alternative system.
