Russian Government Issues Statement On ‘Avoiding Nuclear War’

‘The most immediate task is to avoid any military clash of nuclear powers’

Russia’s Foreign Ministry released a statement Wednesday attempting to calm tensions between nuclear-armed countries as rumors of WWIII are whispered worldwide.

Considering Russia is one of only 5 countries in the world with nuclear weapons, its foreign ministry noted Russia “ has a special responsibility in issues related to strengthening international protection and strategic stability. ”

The statement also said, “ The ussr is strictly and regularly guided by the tenet that a nuclear war cannot be earned and must never be fought” and that the nukes are only for defensive use within a scenario where the “ very existence of the says is in jeopardy. ”

The nation says it really is “ strongly convinced that will in the current complicated and turbulent situation, caused by irresponsible plus impudent actions aimed at undermining our national security, the most immediate task would be to avoid any military battle of nuclear powers. ”

Next, Russia called on the some other four nuclear nations to operate together instead of instigating a volatile situation where “ a direct armed conflict” could ultimately lead to “ devastating consequences. ”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been vocal about his willingness to resort in order to using nuclear weapons in case his nation is in plot danger, but that stance is no different than that of some other nuclear-armed nation.

Instead of admitting every nation with nukes vows only to use the weapons in a defensive manner, Traditional western media has been claiming Putin is constantly “ threatening to use nuclear weapons. ”

Now, after the latest statement through Russia’s Foreign Ministry, mainstream outlets such as NBC News are claiming Putin has melted his nuclear rhetoric.

In reality, it is the Pentagon that is escalating nuclear tensions, recently announcing the U. S. will not rule out the possibility of using nuclear weapons against non-nuclear threats.

The thought from the Pentagon came last week after Putin tried to ensure the world he’s not planning to use nuclear weapons, saying there is “ no politics, ” or “ military reason” for a “ nuke strike in Ukraine. ”

Being a permanent member of the Un Security Council and one from the nuclear-weapon powers, in accordance with the Treaty on the Nonproliferation associated with Nuclear Weapons, the Russian Federation bears a special obligation in matters related to building up international security and strategic stability.

In implementing the policy on nuclear deterrence Russia is strictly and consistently guided by the tenet that a nuclear war cannot be won and must in no way be fought. Russian doctrinal approaches in this sphere are defined with utmost accuracy, pursue solely defensive objectives and do not admit of expansive interpretation. These approaches permit Russia to hypothetically resort to nuclear weapons solely in response to an aggression involving the use of weapons of mass destruction or an aggression with the use of conventional weapons once the very existence of the condition is in jeopardy.

Russia arises from the continued relevance from the existing arrangements and understandings in the field of cutting and restricting nuclear weapons, as well as decreasing strategic risks and threat of international incidents and conflicts fraught with escalation to nuclear level. All of us fully reaffirm our commitment to  the Joint statement of the leaders of the 5 nuclear-weapon states   on preventing nuclear war and avoiding arms events of January 3, 2022. We are strongly convinced that will in the current complicated and turbulent situation, caused by irresponsible plus impudent actions aimed at undermining our national security, the most immediate task is to avoid any kind of military clash of nuclear powers.

We urge various other states of the “ nuclear five” to demonstrate in practice their own willingness to work on resolving this top-priority task and also to give up the dangerous attempts to infringe on essential interests of each other whilst balancing on the brink of the direct armed conflict and encouraging provocations with weapons of mass destruction, which can lead to catastrophic consequences.

Russia continues to advocate for a renewed, more robust architecture of international security based on ensuring predictability and global strategic balance, as well as on the principles associated with equal rights, indivisible protection and mutual account associated with core interests of the celebrations.
