The time has come to “ move on” through President Joe Biden, based on a recent Hair salon piece that argues the president offered as a “ drag” upon Democrats during last week’s midterm election and that Democrats won in the midterm polls “ despite Biden, not really because of him, ” adding that a 2024 presidential run by Biden would be a full “ disaster. ”
The Saturday essay — titled “ Biden was a drag on the Democrats in the midterms: He’d become a disaster in 2024” — was penned by frequent Salon contributor Norman Solomon, whom founded the Institute meant for Public Accuracy (IPA), which usually is reportedly funded by George Soros’ Open Society Fundamentals.
“ Momentary good feelings are easy to understand, but Biden was the biggest negative for Democrats. It might be time to move on, ” the particular essay’s subheading reads.
The author starts by asserting that “ no amount of post-election puffery about Joe Biden can change a key political reality: Their approval ratings are far below the public’s general positivity toward the Democratic Celebration. ”
“ Overall, Democrats who received in the midterm elections did so despite Biden, not because of him, ” Solomon writes.
“ He’s a drag on the party, a boon to Republicans, and — if he runs again — he’d be a weak candidate against the GOP nominee in the 2024 presidential campaign, ” he added.
