A far-left (borderline Marxist) group naming itself the “ Folks’ CDC” has called for considerably more radical coronavirus policies such as indefinite mask mandates in addition to social distancing, charging of which America’s relaxed pandemic insurance plans stem from a racist eugenics impulse beholden to company interests.
Profiled at length in the New Yorker , the People’s CDC can certainly best be described as a “ ragtag coalition of academics, medical doctors, activists, and artists which believe that the government has left these phones fend for themselves. ”
Founded by Mindy Thompson Fullilove, a fabulous professor of urban policy and health at the New School, the group has many supporters who receive once a week newsletters and emails highlighting the latest pandemic trends although advocating stricter policies.
The People’s CDC also received funding from organizations like the Kresge Basis and the Robert Wood Nicholson Foundation, a highly influential medical philanthropy. Though Fullilove did not specify if the group includes any supporters within the actual Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), member Edgar Rivera Coló a few said in a recent webinar that they have “ comrades that are within the C. D. Chemical. who are saying to us, ‘ Go ahead with your bad selves. ‘”
