A Georgia university basketball player was taken on video collapsing around the court in the middle of game in front of horrified fans on Sunday.
Imo Essien of the Old Dominion Monarchs is seen playing protection before suddenly falling towards the floor while clutching his heart, followed by training staff rushing to his aid.

Members of the Old Dominion men’s basketball team watched in shock, and many kept back tears, as their teammate Imo Essien had to be were known to by training staff members from both ODU and Georgia Southern on Saturday.
Essien, a sophomore safeguard, appeared to become weak, then collapsed during play within the first half of the competition.
After a few tense moments, Essien, who did not appear to lose consciousness, was helped to his feet plus walked off the court with the help of the trainers. “ This individual was responsive throughout plus was able to sit with group for the duration of the game and journey back with the team, ” read a statement from ODU.

This comes simply days after Buffalo Expenses safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after struggling with cardiac arrest, where he has been then rushed to the medical center in critical condition.
