MSM Dragged For Promoting Revolutionary Medical & Surgical Procedures Just for Obese Children Instead of Diet & Exercise
Medical industry shills for Big Pharma instead of encouraging common-sense and TOTALLY FREE solutions to combat obesity.
The mainstream media was broadly criticized on social media pertaining to pushing medications and surgeries on obese children instead of promoting good habits like a healthy diet and exercise.
The United states Academy of Pediatrics released its first guidance on childhood obesity in 15 yrs promoting radical medication and surgical procedures as the first reaction rather than last resort just for children suffering from obesity, the Associated Press reported .
The article cites numerous physicians who all dismissed lifestyle behaviors as a major factor of obesity and opted for quick and radical remedies to treat it.
“ Waiting doesn’t work, ” said Dr . Ihuoma Eneli, co-author of the guidance. “ What we see is a continuation of weight gain and the probability that they’ll have (obesity) within adulthood. ”
Aaron Kelly, co-director of the Center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine at the University of Minnesota, claimed obesity had been rooted more in the field of biology than lifestyle.
“ Obesity is not a lifestyle problem. It is not the lifestyle disease, ” Kelly said. “ It traditionally emerges from biological elements. ”
This particular claim is false.
Widely available data shows childhood obesity began to sharply spike in the 1970s and it has steadily increased over the last 50 years , due in part to uaprocessed foods and an increase within sedentary lifestyles.
In the event that obesity was rooted mainly in biology, why had been it an uncommon condition just decades ago?
Dr . Stephanie Byrne, a pediatrician at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, was quoted saying that shedding pounds are not enough for kids to fight obesity.
“ I definitely think this is a realization that diet and exercise is not going to do it for several teens who are struggling with this particular — maybe the majority, ” she said.

Since diet and exercise are not good business models for your medical industry, it’s somewhat unsurprising it would instead pivot in order to treatment methods that are both rewarding and only treat the symptoms as opposed to the root causes of obesity.
