Masked thieves made off with around $2 million within jewelry during a smash-and-grab thievery at a store in Nyc this week, according to reports.
The disturbing event unfolded at around 5 p. m. on Sunday in Brooklyn.
Three suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts and face coverings stormed Facets Jewelry in the Park Slope neighborhood and threatened to shoot employees before smashing display cases and grabbing merchandise.
Security footage shows one suspect being buzzed into the store as two accomplices wait around out of view.
The first suspect holds the doorway open for the others plus they enter together.
“ This is how you use the hammer, ” one of the suspects reportedly said and began bashing glass cases.
“ Don’t proceed! What the f**k are you doing? I’m going to shoot you! ‘” one of the suspects yelled in a employee who reached for a phone.
The thieves threw jewelry in to bags and fled the scene.
“ The whole thing lasted 38 mere seconds. They took two . 5 full cases of gemstone engagement rings, newer items we’ve designed in-house, and pieces we’ve collected — Art Deco and Edwardian rings, ” owner Irina Sulay told the New York Post .
Sulay states approximately 100 rings were taken and valued all of them up to $2 million in total.
No potential foods have been apprehended or determined at the time of this writing, according to the latest available updates.
