US and Mexican cabinet officials sold out of time before discussing immigration in a formal meeting in Mexico City on Mon, according to people familiar with the situation, leaving a major issue between the countries largely unaddressed.
Uncontrolled immigration across the US southern boundary remains a political legal responsibility for President Joe Biden, and the topic was to the agenda for a formal meeting between the American leader, Philippine President Andres Manuel Ló pez Obrador and more than two dozen of their best aides in Mexico Town, officials said.
But a private talk among Biden and Lopez Obrador before the official meeting ran long, leaving the larger group — including Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and National Security Advisor Mike Sullivan — with less time than expected. Officials stated that Biden and the Mexican leader, known as AMLO, discussed migration and the border in their private session, but it isn’t clear how much time they used on the subject or in what detail they spoke.
In the larger meeting, Biden, AMLO and their cupboard secretaries spent most of their time discussing supply chains and drug smuggling, authorities said.
AMLO did find the time for you to thank Biden for not creating “ even one meter of wall” at our own southern border.

“ Just imagine: You will find 40 million Mexicans in the usa — 40 million [including people] who were given birth to here in Mexico, [or] who are the children of people who were born in South america, ” AMLO boasted throughout their joint press conference.
Biden said in 2015 that replacement migration is a “ supply of our strength” and something “ we can be most proud of. ”
When Biden views thousands of illegal aliens crossing over our southern boundary every week , he bore holes up with pride.
