Some vaccine advisers towards the federal government say they’re “ disappointed” and “ angry” that government scientists as well as the pharmaceutical company Moderna didn’t present a set of infection data on the company’s new Covid-19 booster during meetings a year ago when the advisers discussed whether or not the shot should be authorized plus made available to the public.
That data recommended the possibility that the updated enhancer might not be any more effective at avoiding Covid-19 infections than the initial shots.
The data was early and had a lot of limitations, but several advisers told CNN that they had been concerned about a lack of transparency.
