Dave Chappelle faced recent backlash on his podcasting as he slammed trans protesters who claimed his transphobic jokes caused violence against them, but then turned up to his display and grew to become violent in the crowd.
The particular comedian’s show in Minneapolis last summer was forced to change venues because of the repercussion from the community. And while Chappelle was met with a line of fans and a standing ovation at the Varsity Movie theater, he was also met with violent protesters.
In the latest episode of his podcast , ‘ The Midnight Miracle’ podcast along with co-hosts Talib Kweli plus Yasiin Bey, Chapelle stated the protesters threw ovum at him, yelled designed for him to go home, and also threw a barricade in the crowd.
He pointed out the hypocrisy of protesters who have held responsible transphobes and those speaking out against trans for latest violence against the trans local community, yet are now causing assault themselves.
Chappelle drew a backlash in 2021 for material in his Netflix comedy unique ‘ The Closer’ that will some in the LGBTQ+ local community said ridiculed transgender people. His supporters viewed this as a cry against terminate culture.
