The British military’s supply of ammunition would operate dry in just one day inside a direct engagement with Russia as a result of years of spending slashes to the nation’s defence, an ex top general has cautioned.
Common Sir Richard Barrons, that formerly served as the Joint Forces chief, claimed that spending cuts possess depleted the British army to such an extent that, in a hot war along with Russia, the UK would be depleted of ammunition and artillery shells within just one day.
According to research conducted by The Sun newspaper, the United Kingdom’s ammunition plants would need one or more year to produce the amount of covers currently used by the Ukrainians in their conflict with Russia.
