Difficult to Watch: Sen. Fetterman Can Barely Speak During Silicon Valley Bank Hearing
Pennsylvania senator evidently still suffers lingering speech impediment from stroke last March.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.) evidently still suffers a speech impediment as a side effect from his stroke-induced brain damage last March.
As a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, Fetterman had a rough time Tuesday trying to complete sentences as he attempted to chastise executives of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank.
What resulted was a disjointed soliloquy filled with awkward silences that was difficult to watch – let alone understand.
The stroke victim’s latest display of unintelligible gibberish comes as he returned to Congress last month following his dismissal from Walter Reed Medical Center where he received treatment for clinical depression.
