Watch: Female Teen Runner Gives Thumbs Down After Pushed Out of State Finals by Biological Male
Disappointed High School runner Adeline Johnson expresses frustration as she’s edged out of state finals after being surpassed by boy pretending to be girl.
A female high school runner gave a thumbs down signal to onlookers as she was awarded 4th place, missing out on state finals after being edged out by a male trans athlete.
Footage from the CIF-North Coast Section Meet of Champions last week in Dublin, California, showed runner Branson High School runner Adeline Johnson disappointed and frustrated as she was awarded fourth place during the medal ceremony.
Receiving second place was Sonoma Academy trans runner Athena Ryan, who will proceed to compete in next week’s California Interscholastic Federation State Track & Field Championships.

Following the race, Ryan bragged he had improved her performance, noting he’d made progress after placing sixth in a previous 1,600-meter race.
“I wasn’t expecting that. I dropped like 17 seconds on my season’s best in the past two weeks,” Ryan boasted to reporters.
Protesters showed up at the event carrying a sign reading “Protect Female Sports” and were removed by security.

The protests triggered one woman, who mouthed off at demonstrators shouting, “That is disgusting,” and, “I find that fucking offensive,” evidently unaware or unconcerned a biologically male athlete had just beat a teen girl.
The Independent Council on Women’s Sports also identified another trans runner who will go on to compete against Ryan in the girls’ 1,600m state championships.
California schools currently permit transgender students to participate in sports teams based on their self-identified gender. The California Interscholastic Federation claims it won’t ban transgender students from participating so as not to violate discrimination laws.
Meanwhile, boys are literally being allowed to dominate girls in female sports – and there’s nothing the girls can do about it.
